Sarel specialises in residential developments and has extensive experience in identifying the right product for the demand in the property market. He has been involved in the detailed planning, marketing, design and construction of thousands of units over the last 22 years.

International Experience (Dubai) – Includes 5 years of experience in Dubai where he did more than 4000 apartments for the Nakheel Group from design to completion. He was also part of the developing team that started the Palm Island project.

He prides himself in his achievements and his commitment to client satisfaction is pivotal to his reputation in the industry.

Sarel van Niekerk, through Sable Cape, has years experience in the following areas:

Product identification & development packaging (identification of property, deal structuring, marketing survey, product selection to meet market demand and affordability)

Land improvement (location recognition & assisting and managing of EIAs, rezoning, negotiating of Service Level Agreements, etc.)

Marketing and sales (assist in selecting the correct marketing team (agency) and the appropriate marketing strategy & coordinate sales between agencies, banks and conveyances to streamline finance approval for clients)

Design coordination (assist in appointing the correct design team and through value engineer delivering the ideal product cost effectively)

Construction and project management (monitor and managing of the progress, apply quality assurance, quality control, coordinate progress and design meetings, health and safety, etc.)

Hand over (coordinate and manage timely hand over of units and transfers of properties, coordinate snagging and client satisfaction, monitor grievances, control timely preparation and signing of transfer and bond documentation)

Property management (establishing and registering the Body Corporate)

After her admission as Attorney, Notary and Conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa in 2003, Natascha spent 16 years practicing as attorney, notary and conveyancer and/or legal advisor, before joining the Sable Cape Developments team in 2019 as Group Legal Advisor. During this time, she has worked on, amongst others, Meadowlands Estate, Highlands Estate both in KZN and Mountain View Estate in George, Western Cape.


Anton has nearly 40 years’ experience and over 25 years in a supervisory, managerial or project management role.

Anton has nearly 40 years’ experience and over 25 years in a supervisory, managerial or project management role. He is an analytical, independent, motivated and organized individual with an affinity for detail. His people management style is relaxed and approachable, yet result driven.

Anton joined Sable Cape Developments in 2013 as on-site project manager where he was responsible for:

  • Being the communications conduit between contractors and the developer
  • Liaising with external consultants for:
    • Electrical bulk services
    • Gas bulk services
    • Civil contractors for bulk water, sewer, roads and storm water infrastructure
    • Occupational Health and Safety
    • Environmental awareness and conformance
    • Architects for any required changes
  • Liaising with local government for drawing approvals and inspections
  • Liaising with the local NHBRC for registrations and inspections
  • Preparing a detailed project schedule for the first phase of the development
  • Conducting weekly foreman and sub-contractors meetings to ensure that the schedule was strictly adhered to
  • Conducting weekly project meeting with the Contractor Manager to review status and prepare weekly status report for the developer
  • Verifying the contractors’ monthly certification to ensure that all work claimed for was in fact completed to standard prior to payment
  • Performing daily site visits to verify conformance to building regulations and standards and to ensure quality

Anton was promoted to Senior Project Manager in 2015 where he played an integral role in the developments in New Castle (Highlands Estate, Stone House Valley and Pine Slope Student Housing)

Keegan Naicker holds a Bachelors Degree from UKZN in business administration. He was previously involved in the banking and financial services industry and spent the last 15 years in property development, managing various portfolios, both in residential and commercial markets.

He has been actively involved with the KZN Newcastle developments such as Meadowlands for more than 12 years.
